  • Initial Premier Field Engineer Training -- Off To Seattle Soon

So things appear to be rolling forward nicely as far as getting started with my new gig over at Microsoft. I'll be flying out to Seattle on May 6th for the 3 weeks of training that all Premier Field Engineers (PFE's) go through. Most of the training will be at Microsoft's Sammamish campus with a couple of days at the main Redmond campus (MS has 3 large campuses in and around Seattle...Issaquah is the 3rd). Following that 3 weeks of training, I'll do another month of shadowing other...

  • nb development updated

I've spent this weekend (28th -> 30th) Updating NB Development to the latest version of Community Server , as well as giving the front page a bit of a face lift. I really hope you like the new look. I'll be doing a few Webcasts (Yes I know, Webcasts), on how I went about configuring Community Server to do what I want it to do, as well as a few other things. First thing you will notice on the new look NB Development , is the flip box, with quick images about the main sections, this is ALL...

  • Blog Publisher for CruiseControl.NET

Some time ago I wrote a blog publisher for CruiseControl.NET , but didn't manage to blog about it. In fact, it totally slipped my mind. However, my machine behaves more and more weird lately, so I started to clean up the hard disks and back up all my data. So today it happened that I stumbled over my old blog publisher and finally posted it here. Background: CruiseControl.NET (CC.NET) is a continuous integration server for .NET. Publishers are tasks that are executed by CC.NET after a build is...
  • Elite Circle Theme for Community Server 2007

As I had planned and a few friends have asked for my new Elite Circle theme code, I published it as a public download for all users. My original theme required some teaks to be ready for public usage such as adding site navigation menu and a few minor changes for blog authors. Now it's ready for public download and I hope that you enjoy it. Elite Circle is originally designed under Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 license and I haven't put any special license on it. You can also remove my...

  • How to Add Properties to Custom WPF Control

In the first post of this series I talked about some principles of creating a custom WPF control . In this post I want to jump in development details by talking about adding properties to a custom control. Normal Properties You know how to write properties for a class in .NET (is there anybody who doesn't know?!). But in WPF most elements use a special type of properties, Dependency Property. WPF uses dependency properties because they provide some extra features that are not provided in normal...

  • Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2

Last weekend I picked up a few games for my short holiday after training. One of those games was Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 . I'm a big fan of Ubisoft Tom Clancy's series especially Ghost Recon and Rainbow. As I had anticipated Ghost Recon 2 was as great as Ghost Recon 1 (even more). In my opinion Ghost Recon 1 and 2 should be in the list of Top 10 Best Xbox 360 games up to now (as they are right now). As a general short overview I have to say that graphic in GRAW...
